14 Jan 2012 - Chinatown trip

McSpicy Double meal, mochaccino with cheesecake to start the day. You know it's a late start when the McSpicy goes up on the menu. About $14 in the stomach.

His doubly sinful burger. Crispy, spicy and wholesome chicken meat. Yum.

Mochaccino for her.

Cheesecake to go with.

Headed down to Chinatown to "soak" in the atmosphere. So crowded he almost soaked his shirt in sweat.

Mala cold dish for snacks at Chinatown. Numbing, spicy, savoury, just can't get enough of it. Got kelp, beef, pork and "phoenix claws" (chicken feet actually). Cost around $6.

Saw this interesting brand of dried durian, a pun on Andy Lau's Chinese name. It probably means the "essence of durians".

Went to Bugis to meetup her friend and it was food again. Desserts at Tang Shui Xian, because Ji De Chi was too crowded. Totalled slightly more than $10.

Mango shaved ice for him who needed to cool down.

Super Lemon Tea for the thirsty girl. The friend's soup dessert Cheng Tng in the background.

26 Nov 2011 - McCafe

Missed this post as the images were stored in another folder on his mobile.

Visited McDonald's for the 1-for-1 6pcs McNuggets promotion. Had a total of 4 boxes for $8.40. Cost per piece probably worked out to about the same as the 20pcs set.

Additionally, she had the mochaccino + cheescake set at McCafe. These cost around $7.

Oreo cheesecake at weird angles.

"Mural" in the empty cup. Coffee with friends makes a happy person?

back from the jungle

been a long while since the last post. did you think this went dead? almost. some quick updates anyway.

Feb 26 - even though he had a company function to attend, she still made the effort to make a improvised-recipe cheese cake for his birthday. probably guilty for forgetting it the previous year! can't help but smile when he sees this picture.

mushroom beef wraps that she made, didn't enjoy this too much, prefer chunky portions to thin slices. still have no idea why the sides of the beef were in yellow...

astons prime sirloin - with very-good-to-eat potato salad and onion rings. asked for medium well, but it seemed to be medium rare instead. not too bad for the price

astons prime ribeye - allowed her the more expensive cut, but with greens for sides - coleslaw and garden salad. she seems to have slimmed down a little, so sad!
